This page lists major updates to the Hotelium PMS user manual.
When we publish updates, we add a new row below with the version, date, and a short summary of what changed. Use it to see what's new or to match the manual to your product version.

| v1.4 | August 2026 | Follow-up code check covering frontend/backend changes made after the v1.3 pass. New page: Screen Basics — Quick Search (Ctrl+K / /), application keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+F2/F3/F6, Alt+A), table column show/hide, and Light/Dark/System appearance; cross-linked from the Introduction and Using This Manual. Documented the Cancellation Letter (preview, print, download, email) and corrected the Cancellations page's column list and search behaviour — the tab has a single search box, not the date/reason/room-type filters previously described. Expanded the Deposit Ledger section in the Cashiering Overview with the deposit amount, ledger columns, Add Deposit, and Receipt actions, and corrected how it is opened (also from the reservation list and reservation detail, not only Front Desk → In-House). Corrected the Message Print procedure — messages must be selected before printing, and the preview offers Print, Download PDF, and Email. Corrected the Room Chart filter list (Date, Floor, Room Type, Room No; the Status filter documented previously does not exist). |
| v1.3 | August 2026 | Accuracy correction pass — every page was checked against the actual backend/frontend code and corrected where it no longer matched. Rewrote pages that described fields, buttons, or workflows that don't exist in the app (Packages, Room & Stay Information, System Date, Transportation Types, Rate Setup, Room Status, Maintenance, Waitlist, Cancellations, Service Charges, Cashiers, Cash Register Setup, User Groups, Company Profile, Travel Agent Profile, Currencies, Exchange Rates, Source/Market Groups, Hotel Information, Visa Types, Management Types, Room Maintenance Reasons, User Activity Logs, Territories, Districts, Inactive Reason, and several report pages). Added a new Bulk Import (Excel) guide documenting the import workflow shared across ~25+ setup list pages, and cross-linked it from those pages. Corrected the Roles and Permissions page's description of the "Admin" account type (it does not get special bypass access, unlike Super Admin). Confirmed and left undocumented: Dynamic Reports, Control, and Stay Information backend apps (dead code, not wired into the system), and the UserRole model (unused). |

New pages: Billing (Guest Folio) — full folio management with split, transfer, adjust, void, print, routing, checkout; Cash Register Login — step-by-step guide; Post Room Charge — manual charge posting workflow; Housekeeping Management — main tabbed screen overview; Housekeeping Room Plan — calendar grid; Reservation Confirmation Letter; Reservation Registration Form; Profile Workflows — Linking a Profile to a Reservation, Guest Checkout Workflow; Database Manager — multi-tenant DB management for admins; Services configuration; First-Time Property Setup — full onboarding checklist with all 7 setup steps and go-live verification. TrackIt split into 4 dedicated pages (Groups, Types, Actions, Locations). User Groups expanded with full permission inheritance model and per-module permission tables. Dashboard expanded with detailed card descriptions (Overview Stats, Available Rooms, Housekeeping, Revenue Chart, VIP Levels, Complimentary, Reservation Details). New pages: Guest Information Report, Trial Balance Report, Manager Report, Journal by Transaction, Room Routing, Room Chart. Profile docs rewritten with all form fields (individual: 3-step form with travel documents; company and travel agent: address cascade, AR number, IATA). Reservation docs rewritten with full 3-step form (guest info, booking info, transportation), group reservations, daily rate override, activity panel. Front Desk docs rewritten with Room Plan calendar grid, In-House actions (room move, checkout flow, alerts), Checked-Out (move back to in-house). Cashiering docs rewritten with Transaction split-panel layout, all action buttons, checkout auto-trigger, Cashier Shift dashboard/close/reports, Quick Checkout batch processing. All 8 report categories fully documented with actual filters and columns. Configuration: Account Receivables Setup section added (4 pages), Visa Type, Purpose of Stay, Market Groups, Source Groups added. Glossary expanded with 20+ new terms. Troubleshooting expanded with module-specific entries. |
